Book: In Your Dreams
Author: Sarah Adams
Thank you, Ballantine Dell, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
This is the fourth and final book in the When in Rome series. I am so sad that this is the last time we will be visiting Rome, Kentucky, since this is one of my favorite series, and book #4 did not disappoint!
We follow Madison Walker, who left Rome to try to make it in the culinary world in NYC. She realizes the NYC life isn’t for her, from a cramped bedroom to a horrible roommate, she is just missing her family and friends in Rome, Kentucky. She doesn’t want to go home at first because she feels it will mean admitting that she failed. Until one night, she accidentally calls her brother’s best friend, James Huxley. He owns Huxley Farms and offers her the head chef position at a restaurant he wants to open on the farm. She accepts the offer and heads home to Rome!
I loved the chemistry and banter that Madison and James have throughout the book. They have known each other their whole life, so they were very comfortable around one another. James and Madison easily became the two favorite main characters in a storyline. I loved how James was always dependable and there for her, and how Madison was quirky with no filter, which was written perfectly.
Thank you, Sarah Adams, for another 5-star read in one of my top all-time favorite series!
This is a perfect, he-falls-first, small-town romance!
Final Score: 5/5
