Heather McBreen does it again! I absolutely loved her debut novel, Wedding Dashers, and I couldn’t wait for her second novel! It does not disappoint. I really enjoy her writing, and she has officially become an auto-buy author for me.
Sunk in Love follows Roslyn and Liam, a married couple on the brink of divorce. We go back and forth between a dual timeline of the past and the present. We learn how they started dating and got married, to where they are now—currently on Roslyn’s family cruise trip, faking that they are a happily married couple.
I loved learning how they fell in love, and it was great to see them both slowly fall back in love.
During the present timeline, we go on daily family excursions, from hiking to yoga. One of my favorite days that had me laughing out loud was the hiking day when they get lost from the group. I promise this part will have you laughing!
The grand gesture at the end is a perfect 90’s rom-com type, which are my favorites!
