This was such a fun, cozy read and exactly what it promises to be.
Falling Into You follows Rory, a cheerleading captain who is laser focused on leading her squad to victory at the big fall competition. When one of her bases gets injured, she is stuck with Jacob, a star soccer player who lost a bet and now has to fill in. They cannot stand each other, at first.
Yes, there are moments that lean pretty immature, but this is a young adult book and that kind of comes with the territory. Once you accept that going in, it is really easy to just enjoy the ride. The fall setting is cozy, with sports games and pumpkin spice energy throughout. It is the kind of book you want to curl up with on a cool October evening.
The opposites attract dynamic between Rory and Jacob is fun to watch unfold, and the ending genuinely made me happy. I smiled through the whole last stretch of it.
If you are looking for a light, feel good YA romance with a great autumn vibe, this one absolutely delivers.
