This was a quick and fun read that kept me turning pages.
The Not So Happy Couple follows Marissa, who has spent the past year playing the perfect wife to her husband Bradley. When the two head out on his yacht for their anniversary, they find a dead woman laid out on the bed in the master bedroom. Bradley clearly recognizes her. The problem is that Marissa does too, and she cannot let on. The story unfolds through three perspectives, Marissa, Bradley, and Cami, which keeps the secrets and lies coming from every direction.
I will admit it is a little predictable at times, but it did not take away from the fun at all. This is a popcorn thriller in the best way. It moves fast, it is full of drama, and it never asks you to take it too seriously. Sometimes that is exactly what you want.
And the ending? I loved it. It was a satisfying wrap up that made all the guessing along the way worth it.
If you are in the mood for something fast and twisty that you can finish in a sitting or two, this one is a good pick.
