Book Review: Don’t Fall In Love With Me

Book: Don’t Fall In Love With Me

Author: Paige Toon

Thank you to Putnam and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

The story follows a female main character, Grace, who returns to a town in France where she used to spend summers as a child. She is going to work with Jackson, who was her crush. He was always someone she wanted but couldn’t have. Now they are both single and working together. You can tell they both still have a spark between them.

That doesn’t last long because Grace runs into Étienne, who is an old friend of hers. They come up with a plan to try to make Jackson jealous. It definitely works, but now it turns into a weird triangle. Grace is starting to develop real feelings for Étienne.

I struggled a bit with Grace. I did get frustrated with her a few times throughout the story.

Overall, it’s not your typical romance book, which I appreciated, but the twist didn’t hit as hard as I expected compared to the author’s other books.

Paige Toon’s writing is beautiful. She describes everything so vividly that the setting and emotions really come to life.

Don’t Fall In Love With Me is out now!

Final Score: 3/5
