A Very Cranky Christmas brings back the lovable construction crew for a festive adventure full of Christmas spirit. The story is sweet, silly, and perfectly paced for young readers.
I listened to the audio version and the narration was genuinely great. The voices brought all the characters to life in a really fun way. My only issue was that Pete Oswald’s illustrations are clearly a big part of what makes this series special and listening rather than reading meant I was missing out on all of that. It left me wanting to go back and experience it with the actual book in hand just to see what I was missing.
A great addition to any young child’s Christmas book collection. We will definitely be pulling this one out every holiday season.
