Book: Love Felt Like This
Author: Julie Olivia
Thank you Berkley for the eARC!
I absolutely loved Julie’s last book, If It Makes You Happy, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one! And I have to say, it did not disappoint!
Beverly works in children’s television, bringing puppets to life for the audience. Griffin is one of the biggest rockstars around, but he’s struggling to write his second album. The only songs he seems to be able to write are children’s songs. After a viral run-in with Beverly, Griffin realizes that working with her might be exactly what he needs to finally complete his album. So he heads to Beverly’s very small town up in the mountains, with his secret daughter, to work with her.
I absolutely loved the small-town setting and how welcoming Beverly’s family was toward Griffin and his daughter. And the chemistry and magic that Griffin and Beverly had toward one another was undeniable.
Julie’s writing is wonderful and immediately draws you into the story, making it hard to put the book down. She also does such a great job of making you fall in love with every character.
This has all the great tropes, from small town to fake dating to grumpy rockstar x sunshine. This is a must-add to your fall TBR!
Final score 5/5
