What a fun concept for a Christmas read.
The idea of one sealed chapter per day counting down to Christmas is genuinely charming. The chapters are short enough that the daily reading never feels like a chore, which makes it easy to stick to the format and actually build that anticipation leading up to the big day.
The story itself is cute and the characters are likable. I did not have any major complaints about either of them and the Christmas setting is warm and festive throughout.
But I will be honest, something was just slightly missing for me. I cannot quite put my finger on what it was. The story never did anything wrong, it just never fully grabbed me the way I wanted it to. Sometimes that is just how it goes and it does not mean it is a bad book.
If you are looking for a fun and festive way to count down to Christmas this year, the concept alone makes it worth trying. Just go in knowing it is a cozy, light read rather than something that is going to completely sweep you off your feet.
